It has leaves striped chartreuse and green it makes this one of the most beautiful groundcovers. It’s also very useful as a small, bright specimen shrub in a mixed border when allowed growing to its full height.

This bamboo will brighten dark locations, but it should have some sunlight. As a groundcover bamboo, it is best mowed to ground level in early spring to produce new, fresh foliage.

It tends to spread evenly and is easily controlled by simply digging out any straying rhizomes for transplanting into new locations.
